Thanks for the follow! As is probably evidenced by my blog, I'm an aspiring writer. I self-published a manuscript this spring, and now that I'm off to college, I'm looking to test the waters of the publishing world with another manuscript I have. Because I'm still a student, I don't have an agent, so... it won't be easy. Do you have any tips (or something) for someone in my position?

Getting an agent is tough. A lot of rejection and - worse - just plain silence from those you contact. That said, getting a great agent is well worth it. My agents’ help with both content and publishing have been invaluable. You might want to see if anyone in the writing/english dept of your college has contacts.
